So that you can “try before you buy,” we provide the same quality brands and styles in our rental fleet as we do in our retail selection.

Second Wind has a RENT-TO-OWN program.You can apply 50% of the cost of a week’s rental to the purchase price of a new board or sail. What a deal!

We’re continuously making additions to our windsurfing rental fleet, making it the most high performance and state-of-the-art on the island. Whether you are just starting out, or are a hard core slalom or wave sailor, we’ve got the gear for you!
Wave Sailing Boards
For the wave sailor we have the latest performance boards including RRD Hardcore Wave, Freestyle Wave & Wave Cults. Also in the lineup for 2009 from Mistral are the RD Wave & Twinzer, and custom OES Twin-Fins by Peter Ross Designs.
Light Wind & Freeride Boards
For lighter wind or bump & jump conditions we have the Mistral Explosion, Synchro Style & Screamer, RRD Freestyle wave and custom OES X Wave by Peter Ross designs.
There are also plenty of boards for beginners including the Mistral N.Trance & Explosion.

Choose sails from Sailworks Revolution Wave and Retro Slalom models. From North we rent he Ice Wave Sail & Ego. New for 2009, we’ve got Ezzy Wave Panther & Freeride sails.
Top up your rig with the highest quality accessories including PowerX RDM masts and carbon & aluminum booms from Chinook and HPL. We don’t cut corners either, fins from Finworks, True Ames and Maui Fin Co., footstraps and harnesses from Da Kine, andRDM bases and extensions from Chinook. We’ll get you fine-tuned and on the water in style!

Our Surfing rental fleet is second-to-none and includes longboards, shortboards, and mini tankers. Our staff knows how to surf and can advise you on the best break of the day. They can also help you find the right board for the conditions. We’re stocked with the latest shapes and styles, and don’t put anything in our fleet that we wouldn’t surf ourselves.
We’re continuously making additions to our surfing rental fleet. Whether you’re riding your first waves or are a seasoned pro – we’ve got the board for you!
Beginners can catch a ride on a durable NSP or softop board. Custom boards include Kauai’s Mike Wellman. Also featuring Elua Makani surfboards (Elua Makani means Second Wind in Hawaiian). Come check out our newest addition to the rental fleet, Surftech “TuffLite” and South Point Epoxy boards! These boards represent decades of surfboard shaping tradition combined with state-of-the-art construction.
