The final stop for the American Windsurfing Tour was the Maui Makani Classic, October 27th – November 1st, 2011 at Ho’okipa beach park. Tour director and the happiest girl we know, Sam Bittner, did an amazing job organizing the whole tour & bringing the event to Maui… all with a smile on her face!
Second Wind was proud to be a sponsor of the contest & everyone at the shop was excited to have a windsurf contest on Maui, since it’s been a few years. With the majority of the staff competing in the contest, the shop was a little understaffed during the contest… but being a windsurf shop we figured the customers would understand, and appreciate the fact that we are real windsurfers, out there on the water, doing what we love, just like you! Proud of all our staff & Second Wind alumni for getting out there and doing their best in the light wind conditions for the contest. More pictures to come & we’re already looking forward to next years event!
